Freelance artworking & work for artists

May 2012 – Present
THE BRITISH MUSEUM
Freelance Artworker to the Product Design Department
Working for the Product Design team, Suky makes print ready artwork for the exhibition product ranges, taking rough ideas and images to create seamless repeats, patterns and illustrations. She isn’t involved with the design, but take designs and make them into accurate artworks for mass production. She does a lot of retouching, compositing, drawing and image generation for a range of different styles of artworks.
She has doing this regularly, most weeks since 2012, and now has a huge range of experience. Any product that is Exclusive to the British Museum has been designed by the product design team with artworking from Suky Best.

ARTISTS PROJECTS

Facilitiating artists make their work. Creating animations/videos, printed works, Drawings for proposals and original artworks.

Suky works meticulously, often using complex digital software packages. She is thoughtful and visually precise. I fully recommend Suky as an utterly reliable person to work with.
